Crisp Accountancy are delighted to announce that we are now an associate member of the Freelancer & Contractor Services Association (FCSA).
The Freelancer & Contractor Services Association (FCSA) is a trade association for professional employment services covering umbrella, accountancy and payroll companies.
As an organisation who are fully committed to compliance and transparency it makes sense for us to align ourselves with a trade association who shares these same views. As part of the application process we have agreed to adhere to the FCSA charter and have self-certified that our business is run by fit and proper persons.
Aspire Business Partnership LLP, acting on behalf of the FCSA, conducted a review of Crisp Accountancy to support their application for FCSA Associate Membership. Their review included the company structure, accounts and filing requirements, together with the adherence to the standard of the director meeting the fit and proper persons criteria set by the FCSA. Aspire were happy to recommend Crisp Accountancy for associate membership of the FCSA.
We have decided to join the FCSA to combat the government’s recent attacks on contractors & freelancers. With the new dividend tax rules coming in to play next year and the current consultations on IR35 and travel expenses we strongly believe that the government is in danger of implementing changes that could significantly damage the temporary workforce. This workforce is key to the economic recovery.
Our voice is much stronger when combined with all of the other FCSA members and work is already underway to try to influence the government polices negatively impacting our contractor & freelancer clients.
